Stu's Home Improvement Outlet in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Director of Sales & Operations to drive retail growth and expansion. You will lead a commissioned sales team, own daily store operations, and develop strategies to double monthly revenue as we prepare for multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commission-based sales leadership, a track record closing high-ticket deals, and hands-on skills in recruiting, marketing, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commission-based sales management experience.
• Proven closer with a track record of high-ticket sales.
• Strong recruiter capable of building a commissioned sales team.
• Effective marketer who can drive digital campaigns and events.
• Hands-on leader who can work alongside the team.
• Experience in automotive, furniture, appliances, or high-ticket retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales: close deals, coach salespeople, improve conversion rates, and increase revenue.
• Build the Team: recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing commissioned sales organization.
• Lead Marketing: develop Facebook advertising, Marketplace, digital campaigns, promotional events, and strategies to bring customers through the doors.
• Run Operations: oversee daily store operations, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and profitability.
• Create Accountability: establish sales goals, track KPIs, enforce CRM follow-up, and improve employee performance.
• Prepare for Expansion: build scalable systems and develop future store leaders.
