Goodwill of Greater Washington seeks an experienced retail leader to guide a diverse team in a vibrant DC-area environment. You will coach staff, manage inventory, and drive revenue while ensuring top-notch donor and shopper experiences.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, process discipline, and strong communication across departments. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, strategic thinking, and a commitment to community impact.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership experience in retail or similar service environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
• Must have a personal vehicle for deposits and flexible schedule.
• Strong coaching, training and developing store teams to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Develops direct reports and others.
• Creates atmosphere of exceptional customer service for internal and external customers.
• Manages inventory levels and merch quality to optimize revenue.
• Monitors donations flow and adheres to safety and state laws.
• Performs bookkeeping, time/attendance, surveys and sales reporting.
• Maintains effective communication via email, phone and in person.
• Responds to competitive situations in trading area.
• Maintains presentation and merchandising standards on the sales floor.
• Ensures a safe environment for customers and employees; enforces safety procedures.
• Follows company policies and participates in special projects and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
