Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop, Memorial City Mall in Houston, TX, is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring excellent Guest service, efficient staff management, and effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.

You will lead and develop a high-performing team, schedule and assign tasks, coach team members to meet or exceed targets, and uphold brand standards including safety, product confidentiality, and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience with a proven, customer-centric track record
• High school diploma
• Basic understanding of common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in daily assignments and directing work for associates, including scheduling and priorities.
• Lead and motivate team during shifts, enforce company policies, and communicate disciplinary actions when needed.
• Drive sales through coaching and delivering the Guest experience in line with Experience First culture.
• Oversee inventory procedures, receiving, stocking and counts.
• Assist in building and developing a strong, high-performing team.
