Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Sales Floor Supervisor to drive customer service and profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates. You will train and develop staff to execute sales and merchandising programs, while ensuring omni-channel processes and proper floor presentation.

The role emphasizes coaching, accountability, and adherence to performance standards across shrink, safety, and attendance, with opportunities to contribute to all store areas including specialty departments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading store associates and delivering customer service
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities
• Familiarity with merchandising standards and in-store execution

Responsibilities

• Directs customer service and sales activities in store; resolves customer issues and concerns.
• Manages merchandise standards and floor presentation; leads floor moves and sign-off processes.
• Trains and coaches associates on omnichannel processes including pickup and delivery workflows.
• Leads specialty business areas (Fine Jewelry, Mattress, Window) merchandising and sell-through opportunities.
• Assists in sourcing and developing store talent for hourly roles; supports performance coaching.
• Meets performance standards including shrink prevention, safety, scheduling efficiency, and attendance.
