Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates and deliver the best possible in-store customer experience.

You will coach, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adequate department coverage while handling customer-facing and back-office tasks. The role includes guiding merchandising, down stocking, safety training, and collaboration with store leaders to meet sales and service objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service and store experience.
• Coach and train associates; delegate tasks; monitor daily performance and ensure department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting, needs clarification, solutions) and back-of-house duties (stock, inventory, area recovery).
• Promote safety and lifting practices; supervise use of store power equipment; conduct safety walks.
