Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store.

The role combines coaching, task delegation, and performance management to ensure high standards across customer-facing and back-of-house activities. The supervisor will guide associates, monitor daily tasks, and ensure adequate department coverage while adapting to store needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3 years retail experience OR 5 years retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery; contribute to merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience; coach and train, delegate, follow-up on tasks, manage performance, ensure department coverage.
• Handle customer-facing activities (greeting, needs clarification, solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing tasks (stocking, inventory, area recovery) and store safety (safety walks, hazards, lifting directions).
• Communicate best practices to the team and coordinate with store leaders on approaches to meet sales and service objectives.
