Job summary

Mobile Technologies, INC. seeks Flexible - Retail Field, Access Management & Network Technicians in Avon, IN. You will implement, maintain, upgrade, and repair networks and networked devices, including access points, routers, switches, and POS systems, while ensuring strong signal strength across client sites.

The role requires hands-on cabling, testing, and terminating, plus frequent travel and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Certifications are a plus but not required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous IT/field/Access management or related technician experience required.
• Technically inclined with cabling runs/management/testing/terminating.
• Strong network provisioning knowledge.
• Excellent communication via phone/text/email.
• Able to use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot networks including access points, routers, switches.
• Test Wi-Fi signals and perform heat mapping.
• Travel across various markets as needed.
• Lift up to 60 lbs and work at height using ladders.

Flexible - Retail Field, Access Management & or Network Technicians encouraged to apply - handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/ networked devices such as access point, router, switches, pos systems, printers, and modems . Set up and troubleshoot connections in many different environments and connect them with physical cables or wireless frequencies, creating adequate signal strength throughout a location for a client's use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
• Previous IT, FIELD, Access management or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.

Competency

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required Education and Experience

• Over the age of 18.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.
• All training is provided.

Physical Demands

• Travel is required.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds on occasion.
• Reaching above head for items.
• Ability to use a computer and telephone system.
• Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead.
• Access management experience is a plus.

Work Environment

• Various environments with average noise to high and lighting levels.
• Facility ceiling space / crawl spaces.
