Job summary

Mobile Technologies, INC. seeks flexible Retail Field & Network Technicians to install, configure, and troubleshoot security networks across retail sites. This role requires travel to multiple markets, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

You'll work with network devices, access points, RFID locks, routers, and switches, performing installations, repairs, and upgrades while ensuring reliable connectivity and customer satisfaction in a variety of environments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.
• Lock experience is a plus but not required.
• All training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from project locations with a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Install, troubleshoot, and upgrade retail security products and networks.
• Set up and troubleshoot access points, routers, and switches.
• Test networks and Wi‑Fi signals; use hand tools as needed.

Flexible Project Based - Retail Field & Network Technicians

Reports to: Territory Manager

Retail Field Technicians , Smart Lock Managed Access & Network Technicians encouraged to apply - Technicians handle a wide range of installations, Workstation's, Retrofits, repairs, break fix and upgrades for retail security products, including networks, networked devices, RFID smart locks , access point management programming & installation, routers, switches. They also set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments, connecting devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength for clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle for Transportation to and from project locations.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Follow Direction easily
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.

Competency:

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Can operate hand tools.

Required Education and Experience

• Over the age of 18.

Physical Demands:
