Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Crossroads Store in Waterloo, IA. This full-time role reports to the Store/Operations Manager and oversees Sales Associates, Utilities, Team Leads, ADC Attendants, and Production Workers to ensure smooth operations from donation receipt to sales.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance evaluation, cash handling, safety, and maintaining high customer service while achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm.
• Reliable transportation and valid license.
• Forklift license willingness/ability.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of staff including Sales Associates, Utilities, Team Leads, ADC Attendants and Production Workers.
• Delegate assignments and coach staff to achieve store goals.
• Train staff on duties, policies, compliance and safety.
• Oversee cash handling, paperwork, and deposits.
• Ensure merchandise quality and store appearance for good customer service.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and action plans.
• Collaborate with Store/Operations Manager to maximize revenues.
