Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa seeks an Assistant Manager in Decorah, IA to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, manage donations flow, and ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include training, policy implementation, inventory control, and collaboration with the Store/Operations Manager to achieve goals. Willingness to work evenings/weekends and handle cash processes is required for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience or related full-time employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Must be willing to obtain forklift license if able.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Sales Associates, Utility Workers, Team Leads, ADC Attendants, and Production Workers.
• Delegate assignments to staff and guide them to achieve store goals.
• Provide training on duties, policies and procedures, and compliance.
• Oversee quality and quantity of merchandise to meet sales goals.
• Handle cash register processes, money handling, and deposits.
• Ensure store runs smoothly and communicate needs for repairs or maintenance.
