Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHEAST IOWA, INC. Waterloo, IA seeks a Crossroads Assistant Manager to oversee retail and operations, supervising Sales Associates and Production Workers and ensuring a smooth flow from donation to sale with strong customer service and trained staff.

You will work with the Store/Operations Manager on merchandising, inventory, security, safety, scheduling and donor relations, while handling cash processes and deposits. Some weekend/evening hours are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of 1 year military service or related full-time employment. Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of staff and production workers.
• Delegate assignments and coach staff to meet store goals.
• Lead by example; enforce SOPs and best practices.
• Provide comprehensive training on duties, policies and ethics.
• Evaluate performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Oversee merchandise quality and production to meet sales goals; ensure customer service excellence.
• Handle cash processes, deposits, and related paperwork.
• Provide tools and guidance to keep store operations smooth and efficient.
• Maintain store/warehouse appearance focusing on safety and housekeeping.
• Collaborate with Store/Operations Manager on merchandising, inventory, and customer relations.
• Ensure timely completion of sales, staff schedules, and other documentation.
• Assist in hiring decisions for vacant positions.
• Represent store/operations to internal and external audiences.
• Work with the team to maximize service opportunities and continuous improvement.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust actions accordingly.
• Travel to other locations if required by the Manager.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Perform all duties of the job and maintain alignment with IMPACT values.
