Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is hiring for a store associate to support the mission by maximizing efficiency, appearance, and satisfaction for customers and teammates. You will process donations and prepare items for the sales floor while learning multiple production and customer service tasks.

The role requires a positive attitude, ability to work evenings/weekends as needed, and adherence to safety and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Criminal background check required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect donations and determine marketability.
• Sort raw material and categorize for use or disposal.
• Tag donated items and prepare them for sales floor.
• Place items on sales floor following productivity standards.
• Meet daily item production targets per standards.
• Follow uniform dress code.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Work as part of a fast-paced team and adapt to multiple priorities.
• Cross-train in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Adhere to Asset Protection and compliance procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Adhere to the work schedule.
• Handle physical demands of daily duties.
