Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Full-Time associate to support store operations in Virginia Beach. The role focuses on maximizing efficiency, store appearance, and customer and colleague satisfaction through timely donation processing and floor placement.

Responsibilities include inspecting donations, sorting materials, tagging items, and maintaining product flow. Candidates should be capable of teamwork, handling multiple priorities, and passing a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. May consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No professional certifications required.
• Background check will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect donations and determine marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sort raw materials for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tag donated items according to rotation system.
• Hang sorted goods for placement on the sales floor.
• Produce items per Goodwill's minimum standards.
• Adhere to uniform dress code.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Be a team player in a fast-paced environment and cross-train as needed.
• Follow assets protection procedures.
