Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a trainer for Product Sales Specialists to ensure exceptional customer service and deep product knowledge. The role involves guiding staff, delivering certification courses, and maintaining merchandising standards across the department.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product questions, handling checkouts, and coordinating with management on inventory and pricing. A high school diploma and 1 year of customer service or sales experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service or sales experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Process customers at checkout using the POS system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to guidelines.
• Stock and tag merchandise displays as required.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists to ensure attentive customer service.
• Deliver training and certification courses for product specialists.
• Communicate SOPs and changes to associates in a timely manner.
• Assist with merchandising, pricing, and department organization.
• Explain the company philosophy around the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
