Job summary

E&H Ace Hardware in Ohio is seeking a Department Lead to drive sales, organize the department, and support day-to-day floor operations. You’ll lead a product category, ensure a standout shopping experience, and collaborate with store leadership.

You'll own performance, presentation, and inventory for your department(s), participate in seasonal resets, and serve as a trusted keyholder while promoting a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Ability to lead by example and work within a team.
• Familiarity with retail computer systems and standard software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service to every customer using the store's sales culture.
• Answer questions, locate merchandise, and assist with orders.
• Promote rewards program and help customers sign up.
• Maintain product knowledge and promotions awareness.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory levels.
• Receive, stock, and merchandise products in the department.
• Ensure signage is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on sales floor and stock areas.
• Participate in seasonal resets and store visual standards.
• Open/close the store as needed and act as a trusted keyholder.
• Monitor safety concerns and theft prevention measures.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with leadership.
• Flex schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
