Job summary

E&H Ace Hardware in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Department Lead to drive sales, keep the department organized, and support day-to-day operations on the sales floor. You will provide exceptional service, answer questions, stock merchandise, manage inventory, and lead by example while collaborating with store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong product knowledge and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lead by example and work well within a team.
• Familiarity with retail computer systems, Microsoft Office, or Teams is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service to every customer following the Customer First Sales Culture.
• Answer questions, locate merchandise, and assist with in-store and online orders.
• Promote rewards programs and help customers sign up.
• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of current promotions.
• Receive, stock, and merchandise products in assigned department(s).
• Ensure department signage is accurate and up to date.
• Open and/or close the store as needed and act as a trusted keyholder.
• Monitor safety concerns and theft prevention measures.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with store leadership.
• Flex schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
