Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our stores by providing essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, help with merchandise selection, and process transactions at the POS.

You will also unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or better and retail experience; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; follow directives and retail procedures.
• Prefer experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk extensively; physical stamina required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Complete transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.
• Stock shelves independently and recover merchandise as needed.
• Maintain safe shopping environment and handle customer funds securely.
