Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist in selection of merchandise, complete transactions, and answer questions regarding the store and merchandise.

Additional duties include unloading trucks, processing freight, stocking shelves and maintaining a clean, inviting shopping area while ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide helpful assistance to select merchandise.
• Assist in stocking shelves, unloading merchandise, and organizing stockroom to sales floor.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Support other duties as needed to maintain store operations.
