Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores by providing essential products at great values to the communities we serve. The Customer Service Associate will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, complete transactions, and answer questions about store and merchandise.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, processing freight, stocking floors, and maintaining a safe shopping environment while delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
• Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks and stocking shelves.
• Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
