Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. This Customer Service Associate role focuses on greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, completing transactions, and answering store questions.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, stocking shelves, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment for customers at all times.

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments preferred.
• Regularly lift up to 50lbs; extensive standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending and twisting required.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in selecting merchandise.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Unload trucks, stock shelves and maintain organized stockrooms.
• Stock shelves independently and recover merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked store for customers.
