Job summary

Michaels is hiring at our Suffolk, VA location for a store associate who delivers friendly customer service, assists shoppers, and ensures a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will participate in unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining shelves to keep the store well merchandised and in stock.

As part of the team, you will engage customers with information on rewards, credit options, and VOC surveys while supporting omni-channel processes and store recovery standards.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and cash handling to standards
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain in-stock store and merchandise recovery
• Support shrink and safety programs
