Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Terra Alta, WV location and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist with questions, process transactions, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise.

You will maintain a clean, safe store and provide friendly, professional service while supporting teammates and leaders. This role emphasizes reliability and customer focus in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
