Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store well-stocked and clean.

The role emphasizes safety and professional interactions with customers and colleagues, with responsibilities ranging from cash handling to unloading trucks and stocking merchandise.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a store setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Keep stores clean, restrooms stocked, and floors swept/mopped.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
