Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians to join our technology superstore. Starting at $15/hour base pay with incentives to raise hourly rates up to $18-$35 + SPIFFs, with uncapped earning potential through productivity.

Role involves service counter consultations, diagnosing and repairing devices, and keeping customers informed. Flexible shifts and growth opportunities accompany a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one-year related computer service repair or technical customer service preferred.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to become certified within 90 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including backups, antivirus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify and diagnose hardware or software problems on desktops, laptops, phones, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO sales and maintain documentation of repairs.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding repair status and service events.
