Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians to join our Denver-area store. Starting at $18.81/hour with incentives that can raise hourly rates up to $35/hour, this role blends service at the counter with in-shop diagnostics and repairs.

You will guide customers through service options and maintain clear communication on repair status. Qualifications include a high school diploma, plus certification options (CompTIA A+, Apple ACMT/ACiT) or the ability to certify within 90

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one year in computer service or tech support preferred.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to certify within 90 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to multitask.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods; flexible shifts including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter.
• Recommend service solutions such as data backups, anti-virus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues on desktops, laptops, phones, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers with the BYO sales team.
• Maintain certifications and stay updated on products and technologies.
• Manage cash till, customer transactions, and a clean/stocked work area.
• Communicate repair status to customers via face-to-face, phone, text, and email.
