Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self-motivated, results-driven Retail Computer Technicians, starting at $15/hour base pay with productivity incentives to increase hourly rates up to $18-$35 + SPIFFs. You will engage customers at the service counter and assist in-store repair to drive repeat business.

You’ll diagnose and repair computers and electronic devices, explain service options, and provide timely updates to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one-year related computer service repair or tech customer service experience preferred.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT and ACiT or ability to certify within 90 days; Apple certifications highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, extended warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify and document hardware/software issues on desktops, laptops, phones, TVs, monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO builds.
• Utilize manuals and vendor resources; maintain certifications; stay updated on products.
