The Assistant Branch Manager position at Burlington Stores in Burlington, MA involves overseeing daily branch operations, proactively selling the bank’s products, guiding the sales efforts of the platform staff, and ensuring superior customer service for existing customers and prospects.

Under the branch manager, you’ll drive personal sales goals, coach staff, manage compliance, and participate in performance appraisals while building strong cross‑organizational relationships.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required; Associates / Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience in a retail banking environment.
• Solid sales, service and management successes for incumbents with tenure.
• Basic business acumen and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization.
• Ability to quickly learn all products and services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the branch manager, assists with the daily management of a banking office.
• Responsible for achievement of personal sales goals and guiding sales activities of staff.
• Engage in sales and service coaching sessions with sales staff.
• Manage daily branch operations including overdraft, vault, schedules and opening/closing.
• Adhere to audit/compliance requirements.
• Manage customer service levels within the branch.
• Apply HR policies and address performance issues as needed.
• Prepare and deliver performance appraisals as directed by Branch Manager.
• Understand teller functions.
