Overview
The Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. The Bike Tech is responsible for building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures. This individual will draw from personal experiences and industry research to provide strong product recommendations that meet customer needs.

  • Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and engaging with customers, especially in our Bike Department.
  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
  • Interact genuinely with customers to demonstrate passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport or activity.
  • Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
  • Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
  • Build and repair bikes following established procedures. Assist with assembling exercise equipment as needed.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage in the Bike Department as per company standards.
  • Follow policies related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
  • Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in building, repairing, and selling bicycles is preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).

Targeted Pay Range: $15.50 - $24.25. Starting pay may vary based on location, experience, and the specific position. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
