Role Overview: The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based, customer-facing role, primarily working inside hospitals. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing surgical medical equipment, providing installation support on complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic units, mainly focusing on OEM equipment like Washers and Sterilizers.

Ideal Candidate: Individuals with experience in HVAC repair, mechanics, maintenance, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, equipment repair, diesel and automotive repair, aviation repair, plumbing, electrical, etc., are often successful.

Location: This is a remote position; candidates must be based in New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
2. Manage time effectively to complete service tasks independently.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate issues and ensure compliance.
4. Provide customers with information and repair options, and identify sales opportunities.
5. Support various locations within the territory based on customer needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in a technical role. Certifications or military experience are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet credentialing requirements.
• Customer service and team engagement experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
• Flexibility for schedule changes, including potential overnight and early/late hours.
• Ability to meet hospital and customer credentialing requirements.
