Job summary

Woodforest National Bank is seeking a Banker to serve as a frontline ambassador and grow retail customer relationships. You will deliver the Woodforest Experience through exceptional service, proactive marketing, and operational excellence in a busy branch environment.

You will work to understand customer needs, explain banking solutions clearly, and support digital tools while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience.
• Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on retail branch needs.
• Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions.
• Achieve individual sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and outreach.
• Resolve customer inquiries at first contact, using internal partners as needed.
• Maintain transactional accuracy and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

• Engage customers to understand financial needs and explain products clearly.
• Provide dependable service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support digital banking tools and platforms.
• Build relationships with customers and community members.
• Participate in local retail marketing to drive branch traffic.
• Collaborate with branch to support community events and promotions.
• Uphold ethical standards and protect confidentiality.
• Comply with bank policies, security, and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform branch servicing duties including teller transactions and cash handling.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loans with accuracy.
• Follow branch security procedures.
• Be flexible to support additional duties.
