Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Retail Production Team Lead in Cookeville to guide backroom operations, ensure daily donation processing, pricing, and material handling meet standards, and support store readiness and sales goals.

The role provides hands-on leadership to backroom staff, emphasizes safety, quality, and donor service, and requires the ability to train and motivate a diverse team while upholding our mission and TRUE Core Values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily backroom production operations, including donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
• Provide hands-on leadership to backroom staff to ensure production goals and quotas are met.
• Monitor workflow and productivity to support efficient donor goods movement from intake to production.
• Ensure quality control, accurate sorting, proper pricing, and compliance with guidelines and CPSC requirements.
• Safeguard donated goods to prevent loss, damage, or misuse.
• Train, onboard, coach, and develop backroom team members on processes and safety.
