Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Associate for the N. Huntington location in the United States.

You will assist customers, handle checkout, enroll in rewards and credit programs, and support omnichannel services like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store. The role includes stocking, planograms, and store recovery to maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock environment. Candidates should have retail or customer service experience, must be at least 16 years old, and be able to

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local requirements
• Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast checkout experience with cash handling to standards
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
• Educate customers on VOC survey
• Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties
• Complete merchandise recovery and stock maintenance, returns and go-back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies
• Interact respectfully and be a role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling/production
• Other duties as assigned
