Job summary

Foot Locker is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to lead with energy and ownership, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and coaching the team. This role emphasizes a customer-centric approach and an “Always on, Never no” mindset to deliver a great shopping experience.

The ASM will be hands-on, coach the team, manage daily operations, and help meet sales goals while ensuring store standards and safety are upheld.

Qualifications

1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions in every customer interaction.
Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and maintaining standards.
