Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to lead with energy and ownership, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and coaching the team. This hands-on leader keeps the store running smoothly, connects with customers, and upholds brand standards to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

As an ASM, you’ll manage daily operations, mentor staff, and execute strategies to hit goals while embodying the “Always on, Never no” mindset that defines our culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience with leadership or key holder responsibilities.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy, ownership, and a customer-first mindset.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose to keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and maintaining standards.
