Job summary

89th & Madison is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and nurture a best-in-class customer experience across our retail locations. You will help shape store strategy, lead a team, and ensure opening/closing routines, inventory control, and visual merchandising are executed to standards.

The role requires a proven retail leadership background, a high-energy, positive personality, strong communication skills, and comfort with POS and office software.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience, ideally with 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Exceed personal and store sales goals and develop sales skills among team members.
• Devise and implement sales strategies to optimize revenue and customer experience.
• Capture and manage client information (phone, email, address).
• Address customer needs and objections through effective problem solving.
• Understand store merchandise, pricing, and stockroom layout.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising.
• Operate POS, CRM, and inventory management tools.
• Follow loss prevention and store policies.
• Assist Store Manager in coaching and mentoring employees.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on recruiting and onboarding.
