89th & Madison is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and customer satisfaction in our Aurora, IL location. You will shape store strategy, oversee opening/closing, inventory, and visual merchandising, and support team development.

The role requires retail management experience, a proactive, high-energy attitude, strong communication, and comfort with POS and office software. You will lead by example and help the team deliver exceptional store performance.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience with 1+ years in assistant manager duties.
• Results-driven with ability to lead and coach team members.
• Positive, energetic personality and proactive customer engagement.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and partners.
• Proficient with POS, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and use ladders.
• Proven coaching and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve personal and store sales goals and develop sales skills in the team.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to boost revenue and customer experience.
• Collect and manage client information (phone, email addresses, and physical addresses).
• Identify customer needs and address concerns promptly.
• Understand store merchandise, pricing, and floor/stockroom layout.
• Maintain housekeeping and visual merchandising standards.
• Operate POS, CRM, and inventory management tools.
• Follow loss prevention and store policies.
• Ensure smooth and secure store operations.
