Job summary

PHOENIX Retail, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for Gilroy Premium to lead a high-performing store team under the Express brand. You will coach Sales Associates, manage daily operations, and drive sales through excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities include hiring support, analyzing sales performance, executing action plans, and ensuring store standards and omnichannel execution to boost results.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• Years of Experience: 1-3 of relevant job experience.
• Proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers).
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
• Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends and non-business hours.
• Meets physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent.
• Maintain a positive work environment with high store morale and teamwork.
• Coach, teach and train Sales Associates for effective job performance.
• Partner with Store Manager to identify high performers for growth.
• May assist in hiring process by interviewing and providing feedback to Store Manager.
• Support Store Manager's analysis of the business and execute action plans to optimize results.
• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations.
• Ensure sales floor coverage to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee merchandise flow including shipment, replenishment, and omnichannel operations.
• Maintain adherence to Company Policies and safety of associates and customers.
• Lead store strategy to achieve performance goals.
• Drive merchandising, operations, loyalty programs and initiatives.
• Create a great in-store customer experience.
• Lead by example in proactive customer engagement.
