Job summary

PHOENIX Retail, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to join Express at Connecticut Post. The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in supervising store operations, recruiting, management, training, and sales functions, driving productivity, complying with company policies, and creating a great in-store shopping experience for our retail customers.

Responsibilities include developing and coaching talent, maintaining a positive team environment, overseeing merchandise flow and omnichannel

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant job experience.
• Proficient in technology (iPad, registers).
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
• Meets availability criteria including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Meets physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent.
• Maintain a positive work environment with a team-focused culture.
• Coach, train and develop Sales Associates for performance.
• Partner with Store Manager to identify high performers for growth.
• Assist in hiring by participating in interviews and feedback.
• Support analysis of the business and communicate action plans.
• Oversee daily store operations and execute plans to optimize results.
• Ensure sales floor coverage to meet customer expectations.
• Oversee merchandise flow including shipment and replenishment.
• Maintain adherence to policies and associate/customer safety.
• Lead store strategy execution to meet performance goals.
• Drive merchandising, loyalty programs and Omnichannel initiatives.
• Lead with proactive customer engagement to exceed expectations.
• Greet and assist customers with product info, promotions, and loyalty.
• Resolve customer complaints and address issues promptly.
• Act as customer experience leader with results accountability.
• Create a positive in-store experience through visual standards.
