J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a store team with a focus on profitability, customer connections, and brand loyalty. You’ll work with the Store Director and Assistant Store Manager to drive results and ensure smooth operations.

You’ll coach the sales team, manage divisions like Visual Merchandising, HR, and Service, recruit and train staff, and create a collaborative, high-energy environment that delivers outstanding service and community engagement.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience.
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy in task execution.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and bend/reach.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director to maximize profitability and directly impact business results.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner with Store Director to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge for associates.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
