Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will help drive profitability through customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the sales team for peak performance.

You’ll collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies for business success and ensure operational support as needed, including scheduling flexibility and a focus on premium customer service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience required.
• Passion for brand, customers and teams.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results with brand connection.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist recruiting, training and development efforts as needed.
• Foster collaborative environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge and authentic customer connection.
• Engage with community through events to build loyalty.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
