J.Crew Group (JCG) seeks an Assistant Manager to lead a store team and drive profitability through strong customer connections and brand loyalty. You will provide coaching to sales staff and collaborate with leadership to adapt strategies for business success and smooth operational support as needed.

You will help recruit, train, and develop the team while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to brand standards across all store functions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience
• Passionately support brand, customers and teams
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy in tasks
• Innovate and champion ideas while navigating uncertainty
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to bend, reach, stretch and lift at least 40 pounds/18 kg

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results while maximizing profitability
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling)
• Manage store operations, systems and technology with accountability
• Assist with recruiting, training and development efforts
• Collaborate with leadership to create a collaborative working environment
• Ensure team stays on track to exceed goals and deliver best-in-class service
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connections
• Engage community and build loyalty through events
• Step into various roles on the sales floor as needed
