J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong community engagement, providing coaching to the sales team and collaborating with the leadership group to implement shop strategies.

You will oversee your division, support store operations, and ensure we deliver best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience.
• Strong customer service and brand loyalty focus.
• Ability to lead and coach sales teams.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Stays current with fashion trends and industry developments.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director and Associate Store Manager to impact results.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and tech with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Collaborate to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals with best-in-class service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge.
• Develop community engagement and loyalty events.
• Step into various sales floor roles as needed.
