Job summary

Athleta, a brand committed to empowering women, seeks an Assistant Manager in Houston to set the store tone, drive profitable sales, and mentor a high-performing team. You’ll oversee customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development to deliver a leading brand experience.

You’ll collaborate with the GM/AGM to coach Leads, Experts and Brand Associates, ensuring consistency, Omni-channel excellence, and strong KPI performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Good communicator with customers and team to meet goals.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Driven by metrics to deliver results.
• Ability to lead and inspire through coaching and mentoring.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Able to use retail technology.
• Able to move around sales floor, stockroom and office and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met.
