Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience managing a retail or grocery store is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Ability to supervise and develop store associates.
• Comfort with basic payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and reporting requirements related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Keep areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect company assets and ensure security of store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures; train and mentor store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
