Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, guide associates, and ensure a safe, well-organized store. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, merchandise handling, and maintaining displays.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work in a high-energy team environment while ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Maintain organized stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and deposits.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
