Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities and ensuring a clean, organized shopping environment.

You will support the Store Manager, train and develop staff, handle opening/closing, and maintain promotional displays while upholding safety and company policies. This on-site Illinois position offers full-time hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
