Job summary

World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team and drive a customer-first selling culture. Working with the Store Manager, you will guide daily tasks, uphold brand standards, and focus on sales growth and store performance.

You will recruit and develop staff, coach colleagues, and ensure adherence to loss prevention and safety policies. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performance team in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Drive sales and profitability while maintaining World Market values, policies, and standards.
• Model a customer-first selling culture and execute daily business tasks and duties.
• Recruit, train, and retain a customer-focused team through recognition and performance management.
• Utilize training resources to ensure team execution of key functions and loss prevention policies.
• Support a safe work environment with ongoing safety training and accountability.
