Job summary

FirstCash Holdings, Inc. in Covington, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, lead a team, recruit talent, and drive customer satisfaction.

The role partners with the Store Manager to achieve financial goals and nurture a customer-centric environment. The position offers an hourly wage of $13.00–$16.50 plus eligible commission, performance bonuses, and a rich benefits package including health coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week including weekends and holidays.
• Willing to work in multiple locations per business needs.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
• Opens and closes the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer processes within the store including inventory, loans, merchandising, store systems, and enterprise reporting.
• Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
• Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and goals.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.
