Job summary

Ross Stores in Elkton, MD is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and supervise staff when the Manager on Duty is away. You will ensure safe, friendly shopping, strong merchandise presentation and adherence to store standards.

Key duties include leading front-end operations, supervising cash handling, and enforcing loss prevention measures, while maintaining customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, cleanliness, and friendly customer environment.
• Supervise Front End operations and cash handling procedures.
• Lead loss prevention and safety practices on the floor.
• Respond to after-hours alarms and emergencies as needed.
