Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist with daily operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will supervise associates, ensure safe, clean, attractive store presentation, and enforce merchandising and loss prevention standards while delivering excellent customer service. Experience in retail supervision is preferred, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store and supervise associates during the Manager on Duty shift.
• Ensure merchandise presentation is to standard and stockrooms are organized.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Control breaks and ensure POS equipment operates correctly.
• Manage inventory flow, back stock, and floor replenishment.
